How to Make a Poem with Ian Scott Massie
Would you like to explore a creative way to use words ? Do you want to find how to describe a something that is special to you, preserve the memory of someone or express how you’re feeling?
Poetry can say so much with just a few words. Combining observation, language, memory and sound can help you find your own unique voice, refresh your thought patterns and bring you happiness. I will guide you through the mysteries of crafting a verse using a range of poetic techniques. From simple, short poems, we’ll assemble the building blocks of your poetry and show the way to a more complete way of working through your thoughts. I’ll teach you how to see the poetic possibilities of rhythm, rhyme and sound, and help you write lines of beauty and eloquence. You won’t need to have written anything in the past to benefit from this experience, but experienced poets will also find this an inspiring process. |
Making poetry is a means of expression which is shared throughout humanity - we are all poetic by nature.
