Create A Miniature Treasure House - with Josie Beszant
Treasure houses, shrines and reliquaries have existed for thousands of years as places that hold special objects and memories. Objects can be reminders of people, places, emotions or events. We sometimes we need a special place to put something and view it as a reminder of an event, a feeling or a place. This experience will guide you through a practical workshop in creating a miniature treasure house for a tiny treasure (something like a ticket, a shell, a feather or photograph). Having a small special place for an object can help keep a particular thought or feeling in mind. It gives a physical space to a memory we can use to bring us a happy moment or to meditate on. The treasure house is designed to hold objects that can change as we and the seasons around us change. |
